I am just about to carry out the 84,000 mile service on my V70 and wondered what plugs to use? The car is a 2.4 170 bhp with the B5244S engine.

I have read great things about the Denso IK20's but they are very expensive in comparison to other plugs, does anyone have any experience of them?

Failing Denso I guess I have a choice of NGK's, Bosch's and stock Volvo plugs, can anyone comment or recommend what is best?

Thanks in advance......

Over the years I've always come back to NGK as being one of the better plugs. I don't like having to buy another brand.

Use what is reccomended. Denso and NGK both make excellent product, although I'd opt for NGK where possible.

'Whatever is the cheapest brand name that is the correct spec for the application' was my approach*

I would not be remotely interested in Denso/Super Turbo Man/Made up BHP plugs in a standard Euroblob smile

Thanks all, a bit m,ore research seems to indicate that the stock Volvo jobbies are about as good as it gets - seems that the 'modders' running 350+bhp T5's stick with the stock plugs!
