Clutch Change.
Discussion
Anyone done a clutch on the 3.2 V6 Vectra GSi then?
It started slipping the other day and I suspect either oil got on the clutch or it was just ready to go
Anyhoo, just looking for a heads up if there is anything stupid about this one compared with any other gearbox removals....
I remember when you could do a Vauxhall clutch in an hour back in the day.....

It never fails to amaze me how many people on here are soooo helpfull....
It's the second Vauxhall question I've asked, and although I pretty much know the answer, a little heads up is always good.
Anyway, I shall remove the steering column bottom bolt at the footwell, jack the car, undo the subframe and lower the box with the engine in the car, held in place with an engine brace.
Then I'll undo the clutch cover, remove the plate, replace it, replace the cover, then replace the damn slave cylinder and release bearing before cursing & swearing as I struggle to shove the whole bloody lot back together.
But thanks anyway guys....good to know you are here for back up

Did you want everyone who had not done one to reply saying as much ?It's the second Vauxhall question I've asked, and although I pretty much know the answer, a little heads up is always good.

I have been told on other forums that PH is the best in the world and everybody on here has knowledge about every car ever.....
I see I may have been somewhat naieve to have believed such nonsense.
To me, PH is more about flaming stupid people (quite rightly) for crap parking and telling everyone how good BMW's can be

Seriously though, I did expect a little help, but I guess thats what the Vx forum is for

Still, I think PH is pretty damn good all the same

The only thing I could possibly fault is when senior PH members get annoyed at newbies for asking car advice and forgetting to add some info that could help with solving the problem.
Not talking about myself here, but some other chap with a Peugeot something or other.
Apart fram that
