Can a novice change a fan belt on a Peugeot 106?

Hi all,

I have a colleague whos car is stuck in the works car park as his fan belt has snapped on his very old, but treasured Peugeot 106.

Can anyone help please in pointing us in the right direction in finding out how to put on a temp fan belt to get him to the garage.

After an hour or so said colleague of trying to decipher pictures and compare to his engine he gave in.

24 hours later, roadside recovery arranged and the knack of getting it removed and new belt fitted was revealed.........
Put car in reverse, take handbreak off - the belt fittings drop down allowing easy removal of belt!
