Hi guys, I have an lt77 rover box in my track day car. I havnt got a speedo cable in the speedo drive hole as just gunna use my sat nav as a speedo instead, since the cable is tricky to get hold of for my setup!

The question is without anything in the speedo drive hole will all my lovely new gearbox fluid fall out, or is it sealed off from the rest of the box.

If so i guess I can make a plate to sit over the open hole,

Thanks

speedycables can make any cable required for not a lot of money.

And unless ther eis a speedo drive takeoff, either mechanical or electrical in the hole, yes the fluid will leak out

If the speedo drive gear and its housing are present then there should be little if any leakage.
The fitting of the cable has hardly any sealing capability.
