The company I work for has a bit of a challenge & I need to identify a company, ideally in the Bedfordshire area, that can take away & dispose of ~3,000 litres of diesel. It's been in the vehicles for about a year & therefore I wouldn't want to risk attempting to re-use it. Any leads that anyone has on an organisation that could take care of it would be welcome; they would need to provide the risk assessments etc...
Year old diesel won't have degraded at all. Think of all the cars and especially boats that aren't used from year to year and they all work fine. The only problem you might get with diesel is a micro-organism know as the diesel bug that CAN block fuel filters but it's quite rare in trucks and cars. Boats are more prone to suffering from it due to the constant dampness associated with boats. Even then you can hire a company to come and "polish" your fuel.
If you really want rid, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. I'm in St Neots and will turn up with a tanker and pump the fuel out for you. Wouldn't be too expensive for you. PM me if you want me to take it away
