Just a mild question. I have long wondered the costs involved in a reliable GM V8 making a reliable 800bhp? Thanks smile

Depends on how you want to achieve it, what sort of power delivery. And depends which pub dyno you use to create that power figure.

Something reliable and drivable would be preferable, which would make forced induction would be an obvious route I'd suppose.

Haha, yes total joke

The late model LS engines will clean the floor with any of the ford or mopar stuff.

FI is probably the way to go. The LSX block is about the best, but heaviest choice. Rated for over 2000bhp from GMPP
The LS7 block will deliver 1000bhp ok
So you probably only need something like a 402 with centri or tt to hit your target.

Don't think so Rich,

Kasse wins yet again in a Ford.

I'm biased

My builder was 7th (out of about 30 - 35).

Expecting my SBF with LS7 smashing bhp very soon.
