Today I've just picked up an LPG converted BMW 328i, with a suspected head gasket failure, tatty bodywork, expired tax etc. The plan is to strip the LPG gubbins to fit on my other BMW.
Is this a DIY'able job for someone reasonably mechanically competant? I've never had any experience of LPG so any pointers would be great.

It would not be too difficult if you had the fitting and set-up instructions but without them you could have problems.
You will need to get it inspected and certificated as your insurance company will want to see the certificate, If you don't tell them of the mod your insurance will be invalid.
