Hi,

Car has been totally trouble free for last 2 years, but just recently had several things that needed doing.

BACKGROUND:
3 weeks ago the car started running hot, and when I turned the ignition off the fans kept running for 5-10 minutes. Took it to my local specialist who said it was a lot of gunk in the rads. Pressure washed it all out, gave it a full service, changed the thermostat etc and it ran fine ... for 2 days.

Then I had a engine running hot warning lights and low coolant came on and coolant pouring out.
Turns out it was a hose of the top of the engine (I think when they changed the thermostat the hose split and failed 2 days later).

CURRENT PROBLEM:
Now the "Restricted Performance" warning has come on, which has come on 4 times before over the last 6-12 months, but goes away after I turn the ignition off and turn it back on (but the engine management light has never come on.
This time the restricted performance lights are on, the engine management light is staying on.
I had a guy with a dignostic laptop check the fault and it shows 'Restricted / Poor Air Flow" ... he cleared the fault but it came back on after 2 miles.

Need to get it in, but thoguht I would ask on here to see if anyone can point me in the right direction to what the problem could be (hence the background info which may or may not be useful?)

Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks

That fault code isn't worth a lot, maybe a boost pipe has come off.

I'd try a fault code read somewhere else, if could be something from airflow meters, boost leaks, clogged filters etc.

Most likely unrelated to the previous overheating.

YOu need to get it to an Indi Jag dealer to look at the codes correctly. My S type D had an intermitent code reading but it ended up as a new turbo because of a sticky actuator.
