Electrical wiring basics...

Hi,

I am currently trying to find a good tutorial/text covering the basics of electrical wiring. I.e. what each item in an electrical diagram means, what parts are required where, explains when to use thicker wires etc.

Does anybody know of anything good which fits this?

well you could start by getting some old haynes manuals from a second hand shop or where ever.

it won't give you current loadings and wire gauge sizes but may give you a start in understanding wiring schematic diagrams and what components are linked on similar circuits etc.

but i'm sure there must be a manual out there dedicated to explainig vehicle wiring systems.
