Im swapping the engine from my mark 2 mr2 non turbo with a 4.2 V8 audi A8 engine.. i know this sounds very optimistic that it will fit... but it does fit!! the thing im having trouble with is that the engine is on an all wheel drive system.. plus it was originally placed in the front of the car..
so how do i connect this engine to only the rear axle? i've heard that a porsche boxster transaxle may fit the audi a8 engine? but i currently have the engine set as longitudinal in the car with out the gearbox atattched! help please!

Your post really does show you are well in beyond your abilities..

If you want a longitudinal V8, with a transaxle behind it in an MR2.... I suspect you'd need to remove both driver and passenger seat to make room. Which might make it a bit awkward in terms of driving, as often you need room for human beings in the car

Paul Woods put one in a MK1 MR2 - given that Woodsport (and others) put the MK2 engines into MK1s too I can't see it being impossible but it won't be a cut-price effort and you (or your mechanic) will have to be willing to custom-make a lot of it.

You may get the same answer in one of the other threads you've started on here - apologies if this is a duplication.

The US is probably your best source of info for a V8 into an SW20 as it's been done there already...

Woodsport link is impressive. Amazing that it does fit !!! although just barely.

Wouldnt fancy your chances in an accident though. That engine is going right through you !
