Non-oiled highflow filter elements

I would like to filter a free flow filter element to my Subaru but wish to stay away from oiled types such as K&N etc due to any potential MAF issues. Which alternatives are there? One maybe Pipercross.

K&N's are fine.

The MAF in the 99/00 car fail even with std paper elements, so that dispells that myth.

The rest of the models MAF's are fairly reliable.

But even on a standard car, or mildly tuned, the std air filter is fine
