Stall warning device.

Evening All
The following question/request does not relate to any specific make or model of car.

Can anyone please advise if they are aware of an off-the-shelf, fit-it-yourself, audible stall warning device, available on the market?

By this I mean :- a small electronic unit, which will sound an alert, if the engine should stall whilst the driver is concentrating on traffic conditions.

Replies which address the question asked will be grately appreciated.

Are you just learning to drive a manual?
If your about to stall your vehicle its usually too late to do something.

You could try wiring a beeper across the charge warning light.

Visual stall warning?


Or do you want something that pokes you with a stick?

You need to be fixing the problem with the engine.

If you stalled the engine yourself then you should be aware of this.

Maybe the OP needs it for a deaf driver.......thats the only reason i can think where you would need a visual aid.

ETA just went back to read the OP and he needs an audible aid..... Maybe hes teaching Stevie Wonder to drive

That might work if your car is pre-1980s, seriously doubt you'll be able to do it with anything newer.
