Help, Porsche 996, Carrara 4, Tectronic, Gerabox Fault

Help, I have a Porsche 996, Carrara 4, Tectronic, with a gearbox selection fault as detailed below:

1.PSM warning light in the dash is on all the time.
2.PSM switch inoperative, no change to warning light.
3.Gearlever position warning lights operate correctly apart from its does not register the manual (M) position, it just stays in Drive (D) and see comment 6.
4.When in drive (D) not everything works correctly, no 5th gear at all and it start from 1st gear every time.
5.There is no manual opertion of the gearbox at all.
6.The 4th gear position warning light and gear lever position warning light flashes between each other all the time.

Has any body any ideas of how to rectify?

Don't you mean Carrera Tiptronic?

Mine did this last year, I had to have all the speed sensors in the gear box replaced.
