Are composites, carbon, glass fibre etc (if made with the right resin) safe to use down stream of injected fuel, ie for initake runners when they'll be constantly subject to vapourised fuel and some heat?

I know some fuels can disolve even chimically stable resins (ethanol present?).

If so, any ides of a good 'fuel proof' resin to use with either carbon cloth or glass?

TIA,

Virgil....

Several of the SP systems expoxies are "fuel proof" and you can also coat the inside of the runners with a thin laqeured coating of a suitable "fuel resistant" product if you are worried.

I run a complete CF intake manifold on my car, without issues so far:

(did split one open with a crappy bit of Antilag spark mapping, but no issues during normal running)

tbh, it was more the weight i was worried about !

(in my car engine is canted over to the rhs, which lowers the heavy turbo assy to the floor of the car (good) but lifts up the intake system (necessary to clear footwells/pedal box assys with such a rear mounted engine) so i want the intake to be as light as possible)
