Drove my first EVO (an FQ-300) last week and was smiling all day Have some questions though, any advice would be great:-
- I'm doing about 25K miles a year, anyone using their EVO for this kind of mileage? what's the reliability like? what kind of mpg are you getting?
- is the extra cost of buying from MMC worth it? anyone bought from Xtreme or Warrendar?
- anyone bought a 3rd party warranty for an import? cost?
- any recommended insurance companies?
Thanks for any advice in advance.

Craigs - just buy the bloody thing.

It's the best real world car in existence and tweakable to thoroughly Zonda-pulping intensity.

I had one of the first UK jobbies from the former Ralliart boys but the Warrender crew are currently your salvation if accelerative lobotomy tickles your apple cart.

I used Insurance World (Northants) for cover but just make sure you don't need to claim! It's group 23.5 from memory.

I (briefly) lived with the 350bhp Extreme and nearly died in the process. The standard car was much better but what 380 or 440 is like from Warrander - God only knows.

If I wasn't a responsible member of the Norse Council of War I'd get another, yesterday.

If you're doing 25,000 miles a year you might want to check the service intervals, which I think might be every 4,500 miles. I could be wrong though.....

Running cosst of the Evo are quite high (although when compared to a TVR)

Service interval is every 4500 miles, I believe this is because the AYC (active yaw control) needs oil changing at this interval.

Unbelieveable car though, I'd say buy one - today - now - right this instant!

My 2 pennies, if i may..

Its a good car, Got one here. Not currently the weather to really enjoy it, but still a lot of fun.

1st service £170 (1000 miles), and yes 4500 Intervals.

Mine's a company car, they had 'fun' insuring it, and the running costs in terms of fuel are at best variable. BUT, good to drive, fast and handles well. Amazing what different types of fuel do for performance, economy etc. If you want more info, let me know.
