Hi all, I have been contemplating having a vinyl wrap performed on my Monaro VXR. The car currently looks like this at the moment: -

After playing around and tinkering with some photo editing software I have come up with the following concepts - what do you all think?

Orange

Military Green

Deep Purple

I am edging towards the orange.

Thanks!

Hmmm, given the choice of your 3 images, I`d go for the orange, although I prefer it as it is now paperbag
I think the shape would suit a pale blue, possibly matt?

That would be my thinking too.

However, why only choose between those three? Light blue seems to be this year's colour. wink

Yeah the military green is a matt effect vinyl - I am not very good on the software, so not sure how to change a reflective surface to a matt effect surface. Yellow is nice, but it has been done. The kawasaki green is nice, that is one colour that has crossed my mind too. I will have a play and see what a pale blue is like. Do you mean like an eggshell pale blue? I do really like the orange so far.

OK... the lightest (pale) gloss blue that Hexis have in their range of vinyls suitable for cars would look something in the region of this: -

Olympic Blue: -

It has been done before on a Monaro VXR and white does seem to be the new black this year - but white does look good on them I think: -

Glacier White: -

Been quoted around the £1200 mark by a very reputable company in the midlands for a gloss vinyl finish. Matt vinyl finish is slightly cheaper. Metallic and pearl vinyl finishes are slightly more expensive. It may work out less if we have both cars done at the same time.

My vote goes for white or yellow, white is quite popular at the moment, but I think it looks good

Personally I think your car looks the nuts already but I think, out of the choices it'd look good in the pale blue or white with black decals & red calipers.

Not sure on matt anymore though. Seen loads of matt black, matt grey & matt white M3's round London and I'm starting to go off the matt theme. Was nice when it was rare but it's become like a song you hear too often!?

When we had our last car wrapped, they printed the colour using just cyan from the ink, and it came out as a very nice colour. As the white vinyl is cheaper, maybe you could look at this method for colouring.

Not a bad suggestion - I will look into that! Mmmm... that matt blue finish does look phenomenal on that car... I am edging more towards a gloss finish in the Monaro due to her Beyonce like curves though! I think matt finish looks good on edgy and angled looking cars.
