I'm probably a week behind the rest of the world, but I finally went to see the film with the boy.
Seeing as it had all gone quiet on the Monaro filmstar front, I wasn't expecting to see one in the film.
Does anyone know why it's not in the film? did it end up on the cutting room floor? or did they just change their mind?

Looks like we'll have to wait for the director's cut, to see if it's in there.
Wasn't the story that They were going to use a Mustang for one of the baddies cars, but the left hand drive got in the way of the camera, so they opted for the Monaro? Maybe they got a smaller camera.
Is there a chase that involves a Mustang?

Is there a chase that involves a Mustang?I'm not 100% certain, but I think the baddies cars were Camaros, so perhaps that's what they went with instead? I'm sure someone will correct me shortly!
I have to say though, what a bloody brilliant film! I laughed and laughed and laughed......

Oh well, can live with that... at least it "nearly" was famous, which is more can be said for them other non descript 4 door versions...
