Took my VXR8 to a garage in town to get my wheel bearings checked. Car got jacked up and wheels were checked next thing I see it driving out of the car park. Now a little concerned thought OK it's a quick test drive to see if there is a faulty wheel bearing.
Car comes back absolutely baking hot. When I pulled into the car park Trip computer said I had 260 miles left in fuel tank and as I leave It shows 90 Miles. petrol gauge is still near full as before and not to many miles were added to the clock. Wish I had quickly jumped in the passenger side now. It's not the first time this has happened but the first time in my R8 and I'm sure it won't be the last.
I'm not angry as I tar most garages with the same brush and just expect it I'm just very disappointed at the lack of respect for other peoples property.
Rant over I feel better now

My car is only worked on by Monkfish. If my car is ever undriveable it will be 'flatbedded' up to Monkfish.

For me it's a question of trust.

I think anyone with a car such as ours you need to find a specialist within a reasonable distance to carry out any work.

Sorry to hear about that frown

You should consider a Roadhawk, I fitted one a couple of months ago, it would have recorded where the car went and how fast they drove the car, it also records all G forces so you could have seen if they had accelerated, cornered and braked hard, it would have also recorded the video and sound too. Well worth the money for price of mind,
You can also set it to record when car is not being used.

All joking aside I'm always very careful with customers cars & I prefer the customers to come with me in anything remotely interesting/ fast as if they are sitting next to you they can't accuse you of anything!!!
