Hi Simon,

I imported mine from NZ.

PSS are a UK company here that I have used before for household goods but have a good car policy, and they seem quite reasonably priced. I think you will also need to look at the Tax situation on anything that you have not owned yourself overseas for less than 6 months. The DVLA have a booklet that I found useful called "How to import a vehicle into GB".

If you do not have any joy with importing your own, I have a VT (Older than you wanted I realise, but still an HSV) going at a very reasonable rate. That’s an option if you don’t want the hassle. It is on the "classified adds" in the "links" tab above. For further on this e-mail me at hsvkiwi@hotmail.com

Hi Simon
I knew a guy in Oxford a couple of years ago who imported a Cobra XC from Adelaide to Felixstowe, cost him £851 plus taxes. I'll dig out his e-mail to me and post the shippers name on the forum. Give me a couple of days to find it.
There's a company in Melbourne who ship this way,Automotive Freight Brokers.Haven't a clue what their rates are. They advertise regularly in Unique Cars,so give me an hour or so from now and i'll post their details. They collect Aus wide as do most Aussie freight companies.
Be back in a mo.

re: the above
The e-mail to me was dated Sept 02 and the company is called Yang Ming Shipping. The guy booked thru their Adelaide office but evidently they have a Felixstowe office.
Automotive can be found on www.autofreightbrokers.com
or 00613 9310 4288 fax 4388
Wouldn't it be easier to get one here and let someone else do the dirty work? As i'm sure you're aware though, the choice 'down under is vast'.Have you tried carsales.com.au and CarPoint.com.au E.g the number of
SSs is astonishing,page after page.
good luck
