I bought an ELM 327 Bluetooth - costs around £11-12 on ebay and works great with my Android phone + Torque. I've also used it in other cars (Fiat, MG & Hyundai) without any issues.

Edit: Just seen they're even cheaper on Amazon - I have one like this for £9.39.

I could never get the Bluetooth reader working with my iPhone. I brought a wifi reader and that works perfectly with my iPhone and dashcmd.

if you want to use it for speed / revs dont bother as the BT / WIFI versions suffer a time delay. if your just intrested in AIT's then it will be fine.

just remember to unplug the dongle when you have finished using it tho as the ODB port is permanently powered even when the cra is locked, so with the adaptor plugged in it will drain the battery.

right at the bottom of the pannel that pulls down and hides the fuses...

unless you have moved it.. (roger hates me for this)

I got the one that Cheesy had bought all OK so far on my VXR8 and using Torque on my Android 'phone.

A couple of points - I wanted to wach some acceleration profiles on the way to work but the 'phone ended up in the passenger footwell - doh! Also don't leave it connected all day while you're at work - its always powered.
