Hi all - can anyone recommend a good car cover that would fit a Monaro VXR. The winter is fast approaching and I hate to see my car covered in snow and ice without any protection (and it's often laid up for weeks (as I don't like driving backwards!)) yikes

That said, are there any pitfalls (such as potential to scratch/damage bodywork or cause build up of internal moisture).

I was hoping to get the garage widened this year - but the arrival of a baby daughter put paid to that happening any time soon!

Thanks for the help,

Ian

if you are gonna cover car mind the battery will need help when sitting for so long and if you go to a caravan place you can get some moister absorbant ganuals that will keep the inside nice and dry also worth putting some in the boot.

I had one custom made to fit which was amazing, I'll dig out the company details.

A little thread resurrection....

Can anyone comment on this cover: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100-Waterproof-XL-Full-C...

.... or advise on something better at around £30?

I brought a large size one from Halfords but it was more than £30 more like £45 I think. Kept the car dry underneath in all the recent rain. I had no issues ref scratches etc but two of us would put it on/off to make sure. Cars now in dry storage until April. missing it already but not the cleaning.

James another Honda type r EP3 off a mate that builds them for the civic cup racing . VXR is now sorn and tucked away with a monthly blast on a rolling road to keep things lubricated and on a battery charger. storage facility is more like Beaulieu never seen so many classics in cocoons or F1 classic cars of yesterday.

I guess my expectations were a little low...

Considering that it's a generic XL cover, it's not a bad fit and yes there's a strap underneath so hopefully that will keep everything where it should be!

try using rice in a small pot that's open, works well and most people have it in the kitchen so a cheap option too, and keeps the moisture out
