Interesting read about the Dodge Hellcat, that it can empty the 15.4 gallon tank in just 13 minutes yikes

Guess that's giving it full beans and if thar was even possible driving , just wondered how fast our cars would empty their tanks scratchchin

Well ive done a real thrash one night & that gave 6mpg but then that was on back roads & accelerating & braking so even with the average speed of 90 that doesn't count for anything particulary scientific.
6mpg for 16 gallons is 96miles at 90 is just over 60min to empty her being a loony tune.

I've kept to 140 up from Carlisle to abbington area but that still gave 20mpg.
So at that steady rate it would have taken me 320miles to empty the 16 gallon tank and 137minutes to do that distance along with the tank. So as unimpressive as unscientific I would say :-)

It was about an hour on track, for our old VXR8.

Queue for 5-minutes, burnout, 8-second pass, drive back = 1-gallon of 97-ron. Distance covered around a mile. Anyone help with the maths?

Top fuel cars run something like 15-gallons in a pass. Costs about £2000 for the fuel they use.

I have managed 4.4mpg over half a tank.
