Hi all.

Purchase the vxr8 per the previous thread and have a couple of questions.

The key button to unlock the car doesn't work but all the other buttons do so have to manually unlock, any ideas?

Also I spoke to roger but forgot what he said about oil pressure.

What should the oil pressure be on tickover asmine is just under 2 ish and between 2-3 when driving, this sound within range?

That's all for now, will continue the journey back for now biggrin

No, that is not good. Unless it is due to black clutch fluid, it's resulted in new gearboxes on a few cars in the past.

glad you found the right car.
from experience selecting reverse should be smoother than a Ro and perfect all the time. would advice it needs Inv asap so you don't damage gearbox.

Agree with this. I had issues selecting reverse on my old vxr8, took it to the dealers (as it was still under warranty) and a week later they fitted a new TR6060 gear box! They told me it's a known issue with the older T56 gear box. Apparently there is a GM tech bulletin about the issues somewhere.

It's seems ok at the moment, to be honest I was being very careful to start so probably wasn't being precise enough, haven't any more problems since.
