I've read the previous threads on this, and it really appeals (remembering it can be turned off) - question is whether anyone on here has done a DIY install. It looks generally doable and not crazy-expensive (£900?), although some of the hacking up of the loom looks scary/messy (non-unique ECU wire colours...).

I looked into it , the ecu needs programming too, the cost of some one else doing it was as much as buying it

I have it on mine, works well and has saved my arse several times in the wet.

Did you/MF find somewhere tidy to put the controller?

If you want it tidy, its quite a long labour intensive job. Im sure someone who does it everyday would be quicker. Just depends on how neat and tidy you want to be.

If I do it it should be tidy. My ECU is hidden in the footwell already, not sure if that helps (I'm rarely comfortable leaning into an engine bay).

Controller sits just under the ashtray, in front of the gear stick. Very tidy job so I am happy.
