Is there some trick to getting the arms unbolted from my HSV?

Nut seems to be about 14mm but the socket doesn't fit the hole!

They are not imperial surely??

Never tried, but sounds like the socket is bottoming out?

Long reach socket, or ring spanner?

Reasonable idea, but no. I was checking for size by just dropping the socket in whilst looking through. 12 and 13mm too small, could see them hitting the nut. 14mm wouldn't even get down the hole in the wiper arm!

Thin walled socket needed. Most DIY stuff it quite thick to make up for the syte material they are made of.
