Any links or tips on this please?
Got a couple of friendly mechanics that are happy to help me out but any advice on things that we might have trouble with will be a massive help!

I think he's just going to fix the bearing - but even if he was selling, you'd need an LS3 manifold for it, which would kill any benefit of you buying it secondhand.

Are you absolutely sure you have found the problem.
Will your mates guarantee the work if not?
Really think this one through mate.

Thanks Jez, if the job is going to be too hard then of course it will go to a specialist, just seeing if anyone else has done it themselves and if there are many things to look/watch out for, like to do as much myself as possible for a sense of achievement, have to live with the fact that someone else has already modded the car but that was the only way to a supercharged one I could afford, will bear this in mind though

Once off you'll need to get the bearing journals checked for linear alignment by an engineering company. If the centre bearing journal is too far out then replacing the intake is probably your best option.
Are you anywhere near Waterlooville tomorrow, I'm prob one of the few on here who know what the bearing noise sounds like.
