Know on the Monaro they are sealed units and charge when on the move
Both keys have worked fine for yrs

Tonight got back from drive and locked up then went back to car unlock/ lock fine

5 mins later press boot button nothing happened now neither key works

Woke up neighbours quickly a min ago with alarm

Any quick answers or another fish issue to deal with??

Some sort of synchronisation error? I think some systems cycle through a series of codes. Try blipping the key a few times to see if it resynchronises. Or maybe restarting the car will do it?

Ive had something similar on a few occasions on monaro. It seems to resolve itself by re starting engine?

Only ever happened me once but putting the keys in the ignition and turning it till the electrics came on sorted it.
