New FAST Intake for LS engines at the PRI show
Discussion
All looks good. I wonder if it's all within the same lid ?
And is it all strengthened for no worries with lots of boost ?
I'd never really looked at the FAST intakes until recently when I seen their truck intake. The normal ones never really excelled in the boost world
When I seen this picture the other day...it really does seem a bit bizarre when they could have done the short straighter runners like they are now proposing

Does this mean the new casing is the same as the old intake. And is it all strengthened for no worries with lots of boost ?

The ls7 intake is a different intake all together but you can buy the adjustable runners.
I know i out lsa and ls9 which are blown cars but essentially the new intake design is only for square port style heads and not cathedral port heads.
Shame about that because cathedral port heads still make good numbers
But an interesting concept because it allows a customer to try an optimise a power band for the application without buying a metal intake which would suffer from more heat soak

Even better, it will be interesting to see how this new intake performs when compared to the new MSD Atomic intakeGassing Station | HSV & Monaro | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
