land rover defender anyone

Mrs mik has a Disco 4 HSE, which replaced a Disco3.
I don't understand the concept of buying a Defender (or anything defender based)? Obviously if you are buying a 15yr old car - fine. But to buy such old technology as a new purchase today just baffles me.
We did the LR Experience a few years back too, and the instructors confirmed the Defenders weren't used on a number of the sections as they couldn't match the tech-assisted capability of the current cars (which was mind-blowing incidentally).

Agreed, I did the LRE at Gaydon a few weeks back and have to say I was impressed with what the new stuff can do.I don't understand the concept of buying a Defender (or anything defender based)? The reason you was probably told that is they make very little money selling defenders compared to the others and the warranty claims on Defenders are prob on everyone sold .I don't understand the concept of buying a Defender (or anything defender based)? Urban Truck do some lovely work and I did look at them before deciding to go to another specialist, but they didn't have a suitable base vehicle at the time.
We are about to start doing the final modifications on our interior and I am talking to them about some of their upgrades.
Great stuff. Let us know how you get on.We are about to start doing the final modifications on our interior and I am talking to them about some of their upgrades.
That looks like a tidy little Freelander Kalahari that you're selling for not a lot of money Sarge.
