Fitting an LSA charger to. VXR8 (well Pontiac G8 actually)
Discussion
For Mr.ARAF and anyone else with a VXR8.

Note the following statement on page 1: "Cowl Plastic has to be trimmed Firewall blanket has to be trimmed. The hood DOES close, and DOES NOT rub". Hoping that the hood on a VXR8 isn't lower...
Don't expect the conversion to an LSA blower to come in for millions less than TVS2300. And expect to have to scratch your head, as there's no complete kit.
That said, these blowers have very effective chargecoolers, much better than set ups with the blower 'on top'. Hot days, dyno runs and standing miles should be less of a problem, as IATs should be much lower.
If you're not technically minded, just buy a fitted Heartbeat and be happy.

That seems to be a different intercooler brick, from your one, and I think that will be the key to getting it to fit a VXR8. The Camaro ZL1 brick is bigger than the early CTSV one, as GM needed to increase the power of the LSA.
Intercoolers on the corvette heartbeat are also smaller due to packaging. To be honest, you might as well fit a TVS2300 and be done with it.
In my experience, IATs climb rapidly during sustained periods of WOT not because of the valley heat exchanger but the intercooler on the front of the car and the water capacity of the circuit. Fill it with ice cold water and I bet it would work fine over the mile. I will get a chiller fitted when Roger is ready.

if your bored feel free to drop a cam into mine... I suffer no heat issues at all so far, WOT included in Germany and Italy.

No doubt the heartbeat is a more efficient setup with better intercoolers but blower RPM and ambient air temperature play a big part also. During the hottest part of summer mine turned into a slug as under bonnet temps and heat soak took over, robbing it of power. It's just not a very efficient design and if you spin the blower much beyond its range of efficiency (about 550 whp) it gets even worse. If I were to do it again, I'd go with the heartbeat but I'm convinced what I really need is a chiller.
