Newbie saying hello; South Coast nr Fareham

Good Evening all; I'm 30 hours in to Monaro VXR ownership and thought I should say hello. Hello! Pictures will be put up soon, I hope, but I am now the owner of a lovely 2005 Monaro VXR bought yesterday from James at Elite Cars. Hello James (preciousmetal) and thank you for a first class transaction. You, Sir, are a gentleman.
So I hope to join in the conversations on here in due course as well as contribute, if I can. I've noticed several members around this area so maybe we'll exchange a friendly wave on the road. I'm based in Whiteley by the way.

The car is pretty standard bar a rather nice exhaust of unknown origin, and it's been very well maintained I think [it wore L30 SPA previously]. I think I'll live with it as it is for a while before thinking about mods, but I can't help thinking it will go to see the Fish sometime soon! First impressions are that I would like a snappier gear shift so I'm wondering about a Rip Shift. We'll see. Any opinions on this?

One question for the moment.......any of you guys know this car? It originally resided around Aldershot, then moved to Norfolk. Just curious, is all.

hope the wife has got used to the V8 rumble

Ian (tattooboy) knew the car well as he was friends with Sean (last owner) as the car is a well cared for example

Well gents many thanks for the welcome, it seems I'm not the only one around here with an Aussie V8! I need to give the car a proper clean but the weather isn't helping at the moment. Anyway will post up some pics once I've washed it.

Hi, I live in North Hants but work in Titchfield. I bring my VXR out when it needs batteries charging or when the forecast is good. I can see the building Juicy works in from my desk!. Almost always up for a pint!
