This has recently started to happen and have only just taken note of it on my two weekly warm up and move.

Its coming from the throttle body area and is very apparent when cold and virtually disappears when warm.

I'm guessing its a belt or a pulley but does this need to be sorted to avoid anything further happening?

Views appreciated as always.

Mine did this. I checked the pulley tensioner and the belt was slackening, so replaced it. That cured the squeaking.

Is that for the serpentine belt?

It was for the aux belt (power steering etc).

try it again but this time put a bit of water on the back of the belt to see if it goes away and if so you need a belt.
