A/C belt

I've had the belt come off and knock the larger one off causing the pully to smash! Does this mean it will just keep slipping off regularly? I've heard about the double pulley but mod i was wondering, does the A/C belt only move when A/C is switched on? I never use A/C, not even in summer

As far as I know the A/C belt is running all the time but only loaded when A/C selected.

If you do not have a S/C then I should say belt come off because it was worn.

I have no problems with standard set up.

Monaro or VXR8? If it's a VXR8 then there is a mod I believe that will help with this issue. Someone with a VXR8 will know more I'm sure.

Vxr8. Yeah the mod is about £140? Just payed £100 for new pulley, paid for labour and belts etc
