headers & Cats

hiya guys
another question, Im toying with the idea of getting some walkinshaw headers and cats put onto my car, at the moment all that is on there is the walkinshaw super car exhaust. My question is, will the headers and cats make a major change to the sound or will it be a tiny change? I'm just trying to give it a little more emuff! My car is a 6.2 auto VXR8

I've got the Walkinshaw headers and Cats on my GTS, didn't make much difference in sound to be honest, but, stock, with a 3" exhaust, headers, cats and OTR, it made 388RWHP on SRR, so they do appear to work well.

the mods on mine so far are; the walkinshaw super car, their OTR filter, ECU remap, Auto box remap,

Going to add an x pipe next week,

From Monday my upgrades will be walkinshaw super car, plus power pack remap.
Xpipe and walkinshaw otr intake

Should be good with some more noise lol

What is the auto box map like and does it make a difference.

In all fairness, your figures are probably down to a really good tune in there.

I had mine done - I personally don't think it's made that much difference, it STILL drops into 1st gear sometimes whilst going round a slow corner....which was the main thing I was hoping it was going to cure.

Get the cam done at the same time, if your budget will allow. Even with the Walkinshaw 'mild' cam (they won't install the 'wild' cam in autos)you still get a nice lopier idle - mine has Walky headers, cats, and catback too....though mine is permenantly set to 'quiet' coz I personally prefer the deep muted exhaust note, and I love it!

hiya, can't afford the cam, will prob have to wait till the end of the year when it needs a service

Indeed. I will be watching with great interest. I think it will make around 440rwhp which would be a fantastic result, cam only, with a superb tune.

I know I have power left on the table with mine, if only I could sort a decent intake and cooling water. I also need to get my big headers and 3" system on.

If you cant beat my figures with your heartbeat and all your other goodies, somethings up.
