They came to the meet at Elites last month, was a couple of mates who had bought the car between them and shared it and loved it to bits. They were really smitten with it and were talking to everyone about modding, what had been done, what they might do, nothing extravagant, but seemed totally 'in' with the whole thing. Very surprised to see it up for sale.

Unless they're thinking of getting a lower mileage one or VXR etc. Should be a tidy profit to if they get close to asking compared to the original sale price a year or so ago IIRC..........

Is this the car that went for about £3750 at a dealer in Staffs needing quite abit of TLC. It originally came from north of the border???

That one had a Wortec cat back and a rippy.

Don't think they'll ever be that cheap again unless the mileage is galactic or in a really poor state.

Price seems a touch high given the crunchy 'box imo.

I think it's the Seat Leon Cupra R splitter.

Think the 'crunchy box' was them not understanding the traits of a Monaro box - ie, generally vague and obstructive. When we met up a Elites, and they were talking about it, it didn't sound like anything un-toward over what most Monaro drivers suffer with.

Looks like you're right - good spot. Looks just a bit too narrow imo, which is a shame since I reckon a nice splitter would finish off the bumper nicely.

Perhaps. Never had problems with my box that would make me think it was broken though! Can't imagine a dealer and clued up seller would both mention gearbox problems if there wasn't a potential issue. On the flip side, it can't be that bad a problem if it's still going after a year.
