Supercharger paint

Hello I have the TVS charger on my vxr8. Has anyone took theirs off to be painted? Is it hard to remove the charger?

It's quite a lot of work & quite fiddly if your experienced with the spanners you will be ok but if your not you would be better paying someone to remove it as its expensive if you damage it!

On a side note replace the oil pressure switch while it's off its cheap fails often & requires the charger to be removed to replace it so good preventive maintanance

Monkfish had Goldy's 'charger painted before it was fitted. You could ask him/them if normal paint is fine, or if you need a high temp paint.

Indeed. I just painted it in normal automotive base coat and laquer same as your bodywork. Thats more than good enough. Fiddly thing to paint though.
