Been out there at pod trying to set a decent time. First time I ran a 10.60@136mph on the first pass. Second pass my blower belt snapped as it was dry rotting. I ordered one but it didn't get here on time. Can anyone help me out? I know it's Saturday night but trying my luck now. Belt is 8-rib 176cm (69inch). I can probably work with a couple of cm more or less give or take.

Think I have a new belt for an LS2 VXR/ HH122 combo sitting in the shed. Will have a look.

Thanks guys but I think the belt has to be in the 1,7xx to get the needed grip.

CTS-V stroked 416 with a heartbeat.

He will need a little something on that build ( with manual box) to help keep the belts from melting! Ask me.

but 10.6 on your first pass with the new engine is impressive, equally is 900 ft lbs of torque at SRR

Not disputing that. But builds like that eat belts. Ask Wormus, we both had the same problem.

Have shared it on V8UK for you, really gutted we missed your run, spent most of the day parked in the pairing lanes...

Belt was dry rotting. We knew it was going to go before the first pass I ordered one but it didn't get here on time. I had this belt for 4 years so didn't do too bad.

Thanks man! I got there midday and the queue was getting out of hand. Glad I got one clean pass to begin.

At a push a 6 rib should be far easier to source, whether Halfrauds etc when they open.

Not a perfect solution, but still an option.

And always bring spares !

I know Stevie I had one ordered and was supposed to be delivered Friday. I thought it would definitely arrive yesterday but it didn't. I was thinking the same, a good six rib belt should work. This belt wasn't slipping and it was barely hanging on (dry rotting) so a new 6 rib sounds promising.

Let us know how you get on with the new belt?

Found a belt at triangle auto nearby. It's a 7-rib but seems to be working. I will be doing a mild pass now and see how it feels.

Yup yup I got pulled £100 fine. I was following the guys up to the pod in the rea of the convoy. We were actually flowing with traffic behind some other cars but he said he clocked me at 91. I was indicating 82mph but it is what it is. I have German plates on so I had the pay the spot fine. Friends tell me I got singled out since it's an easy ticket and fast cash.
