Hi all,

I'm currently running Dunlop Sport Maxx 245/35 r19 on all 4 corners and as you might guess the rears are wearing out faster than the front wink

I'm planning to switch to MPSS next so do I get some new rear boots or rotate front to back and get all 4 when the time comes...?

Up to you really.

If it were me, I'd wait and get a full matching set.

Personally, I used to always put the new boots on the front, as the rears will just get obliterated anyway hehe

So yeah, put the MPSS on the front, and enjoy destroying the old ones on the rear, then when you get the next new pair, put them on the front and kill off another set of rears hehe

Doing 8k a year I went through 2 tyres a year cloud9

Monaros can wash out of corners so I would always want good tyres on the front...but rotate them back before they get old.

Plenty!

The rears are probably only just >50% worn, but the front look like they're almost new laugh

sell them on ebay, and get a full set of mpss for the summer. (if moneys not an issue)

I have always rotated the tyres on all my cars that way you get all new matching tyres at once and they wear out better and more evenly. smile

Yeah, going to stick with this plan and get a full set of MPSS when all 4 need replacement

Never liked the idea of rotating tyres..

IMHO if you need a new pair of tyres, get a new pair..

tyres on each side of the car wear diffrent, so would wear quicker when swaped. cant see any benifit in the long run?
