Hi all,

Have tried searching but not found this issue...whilst under some acceleration last week my car threw up a flashing check engine light and the stability control said it was off, then it came back on within a minute or so.

Now every time I have started it the check engine light comes on.

I have also had the same stability issue about four times (this is each time it's been driven).

Speed sensor? Something more sinister? Any others experienced this?

Thanks in anticipation!

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

My stability note goes on and off - often waiting in traffic, but its the first button I hit every time I start up anyway, so Ive concluded that my electronics have a mind of their own!! (radio changes channel - centre console shuts down every now and then and comes back on 15 secs later) - Aussie electrics?

Hope its nothing more than that!!

If you have not changed the plugs or leads, you should, more than like leads but best to change the lot, if you have changed them recently go over them and make sure they are all home fast, also if you have a different air intake, check all pipe clips are tight and all pipes are fully home.

Thanks Stubbsey and Snowwolf!

Big thanks to James for checking and clearing the error code. I've had no probs since and will change the leads if it occurs again!

Are they still standard leads?

Check your engine ground cables. Mine had some issues and that was the cause.
