They do look nice and are bound to be popular, somehow though I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I've inadvertently become a GM man, now if they did a new Monaro...

I have to admit I quite like the new mustang smile although the cost difference between my ro an buying one, if spent on mods instead would make the ro mental biggrin

I'd have a Mustang - I think they're very good value. If the Camaro was made in RHD, I'd rather have that. Either would be as well as, rather than instead of the truck though.

I'd prefer a Camaro (maybe a 6th gen in RHD?) but getting one is a pain. I don't mind LHD either. The Mustang is looking very very tempting...

Shouldn't be difficult to get a Camaro. My local Vx/Chevy dealer is an official Camaro dealer.

I like it, and it's good value too. Shame about the year's waiting list though.

My brother is probably getting one, I'm looking forward to showing him why he should have bought a Monaro...

This car has failed straight away for me,........ why I hear you all ask.
Well, I like retro...and this new Mustang looks like a seen it before Japanese car to me.
The UK version also has clear rear light lenses, like its already crashed into Halfords.. as opposed to the trade mark Tri-red lens of classic Mustangs WTF! and no sequential rear indicators either...oh and no recaro seats like the US version, a big mistake in my book
I want to like this car I really do. I have no doubt technically it will be a fantastic car, but as it stands, then no, its not for me.
This car has to look like a proper American muscle car,....now if Ford make a retro looking Mach 1, a 69 or 70 style then OK.
The 2016 Camero should be a better bet, and look the part too, just like the Dodge Challenger. The Dodge Charger on the other hand ..well what the hell were they smoking when they designed the front end of that?
So for now I will still keep my Monaro. When you think about it all the above new cars will cost a fortune to buy, however spend a fraction of that money on upgrading a good Monaro and whats not to like?
Feel free to shoot me down.....

Regards John

It looks too European for my liking. At least the previous generations looked like proper muscle cars.

One of my favourite things about the Monaro and VXR8 is that they both look a little bit odd on UK roads, a bit too big and brash.
The new Mustang looks quite sleek and sporty, almost BMW 4 series style.

Since this is the first Mustang to ever be officially sold in Europe there's no doubt they designed it to fit the Euro market. A nice looking and very capable car but not for me.

Saw a lovely Bumblebee Camaro in Penzance this evening. Had such a presence on the road.

May I ask who? I called Vauxhall and they were unable to give me ANY dealers. They gave me a German number to call to arrange something. At that, I called it a fail. I'd be genuinely interested in talking to a UK dealer about a new one.

Sorry, I may have worded that wrongly. Chevy are nothing to do with Vauxhall in the UK, but my local Chevrolet dealer also has a Vauxhall franchise (Perrys).

On this link, it gives you all of the Chevrolet dealers in the UK -

http://www.chevrolet.co.uk/contact/find-a-dealer.h...

Just checked against the Camaro, and the model is now discontinued - which is why you've been told what you have. If you fancy a 'Vette instead, the above link still stands. wink
