One thing I wonder about is whether the difference between my 500bhp E1 and the GTS is going to be very apparent.

Accidentally ran mine @503bhp by venting boost, turned it back up and noticed the difference straight away. Interior is in a whole different league to your previous VXR8.

Accidentally? You mean, something was not connected properly, vacuum pipe or something?

Turned the wastegate valve the wrong way

Yeah, from factory there is a slight leak, easy enough to fix when you follow the instructions properly in a well lit area when the engine isn't baking hot

Can you feel the difference between factory setting and the improved one? Or is it more for feeling better

Nice cars Bart. I think the white is better, but don't care for the green accents on it.

Definitely notice a difference imo. Feels a lot more responsive now. Think it is about 1psi more boost. The original setup is so that it doesn't freeze shut in Canadian winters, nothing that 5 minutes of a warm engine won't solve anyway!

Thanks Ian, fortunately for me my friend is having the white one, so we didn't have to argue over what was available

As for the boost, I will have to read up about it. Surprised to hear they were meant for Canada? Even more surprised there will be F2. I thought they were beijg superceeded next year.

Looks of the Gen-F are growing on me a bit too.

Black looks great, but prefer the wheels on your mate's car DJW.

Crate LSA engine with a stock Eaton 1900 Supercharger. y feeling is this is what is set by Eaton.

I know. They do look better, and are more resemblant to the 20" HSV wheels for E1 that I have always fancied. Sadly I had no choice of what I was getting. At least they are black, saves me time having them sprayed.

I am still learning things about its spec, but I am guessing no HID lamps, and what about the handbrake? Electric or lever?

As for the nostrills, not a deal breaker, although the more I look at the photos the more it resembles Chevrolet Cruze from the front
