Hi folks the time has come for me to part with my pride and joy I have put it up for sale. I'm not going to put it on here where it's for sale as I'm not sure of the rules. This decision has not come lightly in fact the decision was made for me when the wife informed me that we are having a new addition to the family. Two young kids and all the crap that is needed for them and a Monaro does not mix.
I have told myself that I will have another one one day but I can't help feeling that I won't get another one like this.
Now I don't want anyone being critical on it being to expensive cause I have priced it a little high due to the fact that I don't really want to sell it and who know it might not be t sell and the wife will let me keep it. Hopefull I know but you can always dream right.

Again? You were only thinking of selling it a year ago!

The cars do seem to be child friendly, so stick it up for £25k just to pay lip-service to you're missus - and you can tell her that if she would have paid lip service to you....;)

It's more the fact that I won't let here drive it and when I'm away she only has one car she can use.
I also live in the country so the winters can be tricky but it's a good idea.

I have two small children aged 2 and 3 and use the monaro vxr 5.7 as my daily since October.

Winter tyres for winter usage.

Boot can fit 2 scooters and a bouncy castle. Plus pram.

Changed head unit for DVD unit to play copious amounts of pepper pig and v8 rocking action sends them to sleep if you need quiet.

Perfect family car. Buy your misses a cheap 4x4 for children duties job done.

I bought my first Monaro a month after the first bairn was born. Had to sell for wedding an other boring bits. Then bought the second with a 3 year old and an 18 month old, it makes perfect sense as the gentle rocking of the V8 puts any kid into a deep sleep biggrin

Bought my Monaro in 2009.My wee girls were 3 years and 6 months at the time.I still have my Monaro, but no wife now! My daughters love the car.Recaro child seats with built in speakers in the headrests have been great, but they now prefer listening to the exhaust with the cutouts open. Such a shame they're not more like their mother!!! Don't sell it.

Get a VT/VX GTS. 4 doors. An actual boot! And yet similar in all the other areas.

I have went and bought myself a Audi Q7 and its not a patch on the Monaro but I do have a triumph tr6 in the garage that needs to be finished off so I'm going to get stuck in to that to keep me from going mad. Then when the time comes I will have another Monaro.

Oddly enough I've replaced my Monaro with an Allroad, and the funds from selling my Monaro, when I eventually get round to it, will be used to finish my TR6. Parked together in the garage, the TR looks tiny next to the Monaro. But I've done 125,000 miles in my Monaro, and much as I love it I won't be getting another one.
