Just wondering if anybody recognises this car

http://www.parkwaymotorgroup.co.uk/used-car-sales/...

I went to view it yesterday and it drove well (from a short test drive in the wet) did have a few marks on it but nothing major

Due to the speciality of these maybe theres a chance somebody knows it?

sorry but 19k for a stock LS2 2008 VXR8 is daft money in my opinion, knock 4k minimum off it before it even starts to look interesting. These were changing owner for 10-12k only 18 months ago.

Car belonged to jackyRED1 from Scotland

Car is too expensive for a stock LS2 with no exhaust upgrades etc. £16k max is its money

Dealer has that where he thinks it will sell, no reason why it shouldn't sell for that money considering the prices some cars have changed hands for its not far off.

I'd agree with £18k for an LS3, but for the earlier engine? All power to the dealer for trying though. Maybe he will be more willing to be talked down, than a dealer advertising for a firmer £16k.

Good to read a bit of history

Shame the price has gone from 13500 to 15750 all the way up to 18950

Unfortunately I have a px so going through a dealer, not in a rush so might hold fire and see if anything else pops up

Background research shows it had coilovers but don't think there on anymore as the ride height is quite high.

Prices are on the up for these cars, never many for sale but sure you can get a better spec car for the same money.

Actually had dealings with Parkway a few months ago to see if they would part-ex my lower mileage manual LS2 for an auto LS3 they had in stock.

They wanted £3500 their way, even though mine had over 10,000 miles less than theirs and wouldn't budge. Found that quite insulting and walked away.

IMHO Wait for one with the right Mods for about the same money smile

Yes a silver ls2 manual at 16500

This parkway one was local to me so started with that, the caralot automatic has sold as I went down Saturday afternoon.

There's an ls3 manual at excel cars in Essex which I can hopefully see next weekend

Getting the prices up would be a good thing for current owners. Used prices were skewed badly when GM went bust and dropped the price of the LS3 cars to 25k or so, in order the ditch stock quickly and convert to cash in 2009.

The new VXR8's are £54K (OK better spec than before) so why should the E1's be so cheap second hand?

What Gareth said above. It is the VFM per £££ and the lack of E3s for 2 years when the new price went to £49K has made E1's more desirable

Deposit left after a figure was agreed

Very happy considering Jacky spent a small fortune last year on coilovers, renewing all the brakes and road response pack.

Can't wait to collect!

Can't believe how reasonable the insurance is!

An additional £90 over my A4 2.0 tdi, nearly fell of my chair!
