Hi everyone,
I am being lazy here and probably should have read the manual, but how does one operate the LC on the Gen F? Track mode, I know that much, but what then? Pedal to the metal and bite the clutch? That's gotta be unhealthy!

Thanks. I know it is an official HSV video, but is this healthy? I read somewhere long time ago that using LC on M5 would void the warranty?

Wasn't that the Nissan GTR, and if you used it more than a dozen times?

Using a system designed to provide optimum full-bore starts couldn't really be described as "healthy", but its the official method and almost certainly puts less strain on the drivetrain than trying to slip the clutch : designed to let traction be the limiting factor and controlling wheelspin via the diff and electrickery.

Other than the odd visit to Santa Pod, why would you want to use it? I could never imagine using LC when sat at the lights alongside some yoof in a hot hatch. It's a supercharged V8, so just drive it off the line and you should run pretty close to what LC can do.

I never said I would want to use it at the lights smile Just curious what the implications are. I read more about the actual feature in general. It was described as causing back pressure / back fire inside the engine, therefore it should only be installed to a forged engine... Sounds damaging to me wink
