Hello all!

Following on from my "does anybody know this vxr8" thread

Here she is collected yesterday morning



Today was exhaust day, slight corrosion had been noted at the last service





And the finished article


Much quieter then the standard system this time round! but very happy

Big thanks to Custom Chrome in Nuneaton for doing a great job, sounds so nice and doesn't boom or fill the cabin with noise.

Immediate plans are:

OTR CAI
Headers
Sports cats
Remove some badges
Tidy up the front chrome grill

With longer term:

Heads
Cam
Upgraded rockers

It's like open wallet surgery

By the way, nice looking car! Would have thought new system may be louder. If only slightly.

Due to the old one being totally knackered it was very loud inside as well.

This contains the sound right to the tailpipe so gives an impression of being quieter in the cabin

The original exhaust system is very quiet and doesn't normally drone at all. I expect that the corrosion you have seen was probably the reason for the drone.

Don't forget to record your new purchase on the build register

Yes Paul Red is a fast colour but not as slippery as your colour
