6.0 Monaro VXR Fuel flap won't open.
Discussion
I'm sure this has cropped up somewhere here in the past (?), but can't seem to find it.
My fuel flap won't open from the lever. Seems the cable must be stretched or somehow out of adjustment. Don't think it's come adrift, as it's happened before, but opened eventually with some simultaneous jiggling of lever and flap. Is there a (Hopefully easy!) way to get it open,?.... and is there some sort of adjustment possible thereafter, to fix it? (Again, hopefully simple and without dismantling half the interior!).
Havn't visited the site much lately, and was also wondering what happened to the old ("Red" HSV.Org) website?....Has it gone altogether now, or is it just me?

i have the same problem with mine, either the cable needs tightening or its the release clip on the flap. as an emergency, if you fold back the boot liner behind the flap and pull the cable the flap will open. hope this helps
WHS^^^^A short tug (not too hard) towards the rear of the vehicle on the cable should open it...
....EXCELLENT guys, thanks!
Opened in two seconds flat!.. didn't even have to shift any fasteners.
Slip hand in behind bootliner, quick tug and HEY PRESTO!
Cable seems smooth and fine. Just for some reason has about 15-20mm of slack.
Will unbolt the catch from inside the flap opening when I've got a min', pull it out and see if there is some sort of adjustment that end. Hope the problem's not at the handle end!. If it's still connected at the handle, (Would have needed two pairs of hands to check that at the time)I may even be able to just take up the slack in the outer sleeve with a spacer tube of some kind if necessary, to save delving any deeper.
Meantime, it's just so easy to open the boot and pop it that way that the initial cold sweat is over.....Thanks again!
