Buggar frown

Looks like this happened at some point over the lst few days. Probably on a run to/from Edinburgh airport. Wasnt aware of any impact at any point, and I don't see any signs of foul play.

I know they're no longer available. Anyone suffered similar and looking to sell the remaining one? (Need drivers side)

Failing that they'll both need to come off....

Cheers Will.

I've also sent a mail to https://www.plastics4performance.com/. They make Lexan windows for race cars etc - will see what they say.

Failing that I might get a set of these - will at least cover up the holes! frown

£120 not to bad a price for two, after buying CF parts for the motor bike, they were never less than £80 each item

I would repair it and respray with a plastic paint , prob cost about 20 to do it but I would respray both , I'm sure no one would notice

Nice idea. Only one slight problem. Look at the picture again. Around the bottom left screw? That's the bit of the cover I still have. smile

I guess I could just grow another from it. Do you have one of THESE I could borrow?

I think vxr2010 meant repairing the holes, and spraying both sides. wink

I'm wondering if it got nicked. Is that the oposite side to the one that EssexHSV (I think) had stolen?

I assumed it was just the crack needing repairing , it looks like it has a cover over it ? Which I don't have on mine , what about raving or is it speed4u , there must be some one who can help , or would it be worth some one making a few up as it seems a common issue ? But they seem to vary in design , but another thought is the hole the same size across the range and if so try another type ?

Thelight covers are no longer made. IIRC, the company that used to make them for HSV folded, and as HSV had stopped production of the E1, they didn't think it was worth comissioning someone else to start making them.

Personally, I'd take both off, and just fill the holes with plastic grommets.

Hi Ian , hope you are well , weird the same year as mine but different covers , I wonder if the e2 fit the e1 holes , I saw stuff on eBay au , is there a Perspex cover or some thing over the lights or is it just the way they look in the photo ? I feel a good bodge job coming on , same as my Monaro bodge on the fog lights that worked very well

That's exactly what it is. A perspex cover, that goes over both lights, and fixes in the three bolt holes.

Aha - maybe I expected too much from the photo - as it is showing what is missing : ie the aftermarket Walkinshaw fog covers. smile

Previously looked like this..... (The remaining side)

Well my neat bodge would be , repair the black part with fibreglass , then respray both , on eBay you can buy Perspex sheet and cut it to size , if it's thin enough or put on after warm water applied it's flexible , job done and as author indicted no shape shifting involved , I've checked mine it's not the same shape

Your right I didn't think the conversion rate would bring the price down much... but that's not a bad price at all. I'm actually quiet tempted to buy some and ditch the walky covers that sit in the boot most of the time in fear of having another set pinched smile

Yup that was me, had the passenger side pinched when car was sitting on my driveway over night.. I did manage to find another set on ebay a few months later for a silly price..... soo I have a spare drivers side (with a small crack) if mik wants to send me his details i will box it up and mail it over smile

I'm still quite interested in the surrounds too, but although your offer is extremely generous - I dont think it is fair (on you! ) - I'd be glad to buy it though. Will send you a mail.

I've already taken my passengers side off - happy for this to be used as a template for some new ones - could possibly meet up with you Will so you have an example to show?

One of the rusted fittings still needs to be removed....grr
