Sorry for a thread which has cropped up many many time's. Could someone simply confirm if this is the correct tyre for a 6.0 VXR Monaro

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m55b0s336p102409/Micheli...

Courtesy of a hole in my side wall I now need a new set of rears, more annoyingly they were just getting to the fun stage of using up all the spare rubber before getting new and I was robbed of many burnouts an tail wagging frown

Also it has MPSS alround already an I've no complaints so want to go for the same but buying tyres off the internet is new to me.

You can get away with 255's at the rear.

That's what I wanted checking, 93Y?

Can you get away with the 255's without having to go to a 30 profile ? I'm not running massive power, just the basic map after a Wortec catback an K&N so wasn't sure if this would be worthwhile.

You can keep the same profile just change to 255 instead of 245, every little helps.

What a coincidence! I've just ordered 255/35/R19 MPSS for mine last night smile

I'm confident there will be no issue with fitment.

Well, that's what made me wonder, as I thought mine (CV8) were 95Y or 97Y (can't remember which) as haven't driven for a week or so and it's packed away round the back.

Thanks for the replies folks.

Temped to go for 255's but as the old saying goes if it ain't broke.... so I've ordered the 245's from oponeo.

I don't struggle to put the power down now (before someone says it im obviously not trying hard enough I know smile )

I know what you mean! As the 255s were £10 cheaper than the 245s I thought I'd give them a go. After the few months of tail wagging it was a bit disappointing when the back suddenly had loads of grip hehe

A few donuts and burnouts have sorted that out though and it's nicely balanced again now thumbup
