The stick is integral on the GMM ripshifter isn't it? I.e. you don't use either the CV8 long stick or the VXR shorter one.

As above, I think it depends on what ripp shifter you have.

I know some people prefer the longer stick with the shortshift mechanism. That's what I've got and after trying a few others at TR last weekend, I'm very happy with the action and throw (and that's following on from a S2000 - one of the best gear shifts on the market!).

Unless you have the "race" version, the original stick IS retained. So, the VXR stick is shorter than the CV8, rippy or no rippy.

Ah, didn't see any images of the non-race version. Mine is effectively a knock-off of the race version, and it's narking me off a bit!

I tried to get a second hand VXR gear stick for ages, and as usual without success. last month I gave up and ordered a brand new GTO/VXR short gear lever from JHP in Australia.
It only took a week to arrive, and looks like a genuine part.
The good news is and fitted perfectly onto my Ripshifter and it looks and feels better than the original CV8 lever.
The bad news was the cost...I got hit by customs ect which made my day!

regards John

Think I paid £55 from speed4u for mine...I thought that was expensive.
