Hey guys,

Just thought I would introduce my (new to me) Monaro. Bought it earlier this year but haven't had a chance to do anything with it to date due to other priorities. Bought it privately off ph. Car is very clean, circa 60k miles, love the colour, has a monkfish fitted ripshifter and remap to circa 400 bhp. That's about it I think.

I don't really know what I want to do with it yet but initially lowering it (alot) and firming up the handling probably be part of phase 1. Also I think it may have a stock exhaust (can't remember lol) so that will need to go ;P. still mulling over a cam / brake upgrade at same time...........depends on cost I guess...............I haven't put that much thought into it yet (apart from reviewing all the options Monkfish provide) so any suggestions let me know.

Anyway it's coming out of storage as a winter project. Will probably get Neil from NJH to do the work given he isn't far away for me in Chatham and he gets good reviews here (let me know if any objections / alternatives)

It would obviously be cheaper to buy the modded Impulse Blue car on ebay (I have thought about it haha) but then it wouldn't be yellow smile

Some pics of the car below as it currently stands !

I still lust after replacing my Impulse Blue SC R8 (was a wrench to have to sell it) so one day I will definitely get another one. This will have to do in the interim.

Very nice, always liked the yellow, probably because it was the first colour I see in the flesh, I see another yellow one the other week in Barming near maidstone parked on a drive, always good to add a few mods, no problem at all having Neil work on your car, had worked on my red VXR8 quite a bit.

Love the yellow, wish they had brought the VXR over in yellow as well.

As much as I love the red, yellow is my favourite colour.

Thanks guys. Can't wait to get it out of hibernation.

Yeah love all the brighter colours on the monaro / hsvs like sting red, devil yellow, impulse blue. Though this green.........damn they should have brought a few over in this colour

The green looks shyte here, unless it's bright sunlight - and we know how often that happens.

I like your new spelling of NWJ. That's a new one. hehe

Vauxhall have a GenF GTS demonstrator in green. Have a look at the Thunder Road thread, as it was on display there.

When the sun glints off it, I can't think of a better colour - similar to Gary's old Ute

looks a nice clean example you have there.

whats it had done to it to get 400 bhp. . mines got quite a few external mods and only makes 370

check my posts for a cheaper brake upgrade option

haha....I rounded up mate....I think the Surrey rolling road print out in the file has it at around 386BHP or something :P

re: brake upgrade - thanks. Exactly what I am looking for given AP seems to be the main one used and is about £2.5k fitted or thereabouts.
